{"id":1913,"date":"2026-09-05T02:12:11","date_gmt":"2026-09-04T17:12:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shinichikushima.com\/?p=1913"},"modified":"2026-09-05T02:12:11","modified_gmt":"2026-09-04T17:12:11","slug":"fiscal-problems","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/shinichikushima.com\/?p=1913","title":{"rendered":"Fiscal problems"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There is the <strong>US<\/strong> \u2014 candidate one \u2014 running a near 6 per cent of GDP deficit for no good reason except that taxes are un-American, with no plan and seemingly no desire ever to do anything about it.<br \/>\nThen there is <strong>Japan<\/strong> \u2014 candidate two \u2014 which has a massive public debt, an ageing population and has made the odd decision to carry on with deficit spending even after fixing its problem with deflation. Japan is asset rich, however, both its government and its people.<br \/>\nFinally there is <strong>Europe<\/strong> \u2014 candidate three \u2014 where big debtors include countries such as France, Italy and the UK.
