The Group of 77 (G77) at the United Nations (UN) is a coalition of developing countries, designed to promote its members’ collective economic interests and create an enhanced joint negotiating capacity in the United Nations.: 79  The group consists of a diverse set of states with a common South-South ideology. There were 77 founding members of the organization headquartered in Geneva, but it has since expanded to 134 member countries.
The Group of 77 lists China as one of its members. The Chinese government provides consistent political support to the G77 and has made financial contributions to the Group, but it does not consider itself to be a member. As a result, official statements of the G77 are delivered in the name of The Group of 77 and China or G77+China.

1. 日本の歴史叙述は「国家の物語」に強く影響されている：明治以降、日本の歴史教育は「武士＝立派」「戦国武将＝英雄」という物語を国家が積極的に作り上げた。理由は単純で、国民を統合し、戦争に動員するためです。武士の忠義、武将の勇敢さ、戦いの美化といった価値観は、国家にとって都合が良かった。だから、暴力の加害性は語られず、英雄性だけが強調されたという歴史がある。
2. 日本では「暴力の加害性」を語る文化が弱い：ヨーロッパでは、十字軍の虐殺、植民地支配、魔女狩りなど、自国の加害の歴史を批判的に語る伝統がある。しかし日本では、加害者の側に立って歴史を語ることがタブー視されやすい。そのため「武将＝暴力の担い手」という視点が育ちにくい。
3. 戦国時代は“安全な暴力”として消費されている：現代のドラマやゲームでは、戦国時代は「現代とは切り離された異世界」として扱われる。殺戮、略奪、人身売買、虐殺といった現実の暴力は“背景”に押し込められ、キャラクターの魅力だけが前面に出る。つまり、暴力の痛みが消され、物語として安全に消費できるよう加工されているということだ。
4. 日本人は「強い個人」を求めている：現代日本は、国家の力が強い、個人の自由が弱い、自律した個人像が乏しいという構造がある。そのため、戦国武将のような“自分の力で道を切り開く人物”に憧れが投影されるという心理が働く。しかしこれは、暴力を肯定しているのではなく、“自分で選び、自分で動く人間像”への渇望
   の裏返しでもある。
